WEEVIL Beat Expander is now available worldwide on the Mac App Store.
This is the public release of the macOS production utility we have been building around a deliberately small workflow: give WEEVIL a loop, hear four musical directions, keep what works, and continue evolving the sections that need somewhere new to go.
Built for the space between a loop and a finished idea
WEEVIL accepts 4, 8, 12, or 16-beat WAV loops and turns them into four-beat sections that can be auditioned, regenerated, protected, reversed, and carried back into a DAW. The goal is not to replace production decisions. It is to remove enough repetitive work that the useful decisions arrive faster.
The application is native to macOS and designed around drag-and-drop production workflows. Generated results remain ordinary audio and MIDI material that can be edited with the tools producers already use.
The first public step
The App Store release is the beginning of WEEVIL’s development rather than the end. The engine and workflow will continue to be refined through practical use, producer feedback, and the problems that only appear once a tool reaches real sessions.
